  2. Honestly, getting Poland to host nuclear weapons would probably make Russia think a little harder before doing anything stupid because Poland isn’t going to hesitate when it comes time to use them.

    Western Europe really needs to have nuclear weapons, especially the countries that border terrorist Russia.

  12. I reckon a LOT of countries want nukes now. Because relying on others to defend you isn’t proving super effective, while having nukes is extremely effective. Look at North Korea. They’re a pathetically small economy. And a huge threat to peace. Have been for many years. Will America or nato touch them? Hell no.

    The problem with America saying ok Poland you can have nukes now, is it flies in the face of their hardcore non proliferation push for decades. And it opens up the logical question “if they can have them why can’t I?” And will open the floodgates of nuclear arms races. Suddenly a half dozen countries will have nukes. And the arguments against unfriendly countries getting them will become weakened since the real answer will be “because I don’t like you but I like them” lol which isn’t an objective or fair reason. Iran would be able to say Israel is a nuclear power that has shown itself to be aggressive to Iran and Iran needs nukes to ensure the safety of their people. And objectively you couldn’t really argue against that whilst also being consistent in your arguments for Poland having them. The whole thing would just be based around “but I trust x more than y” which is entirely subjective and other people in the UN Security Council would see the opposite way around. So using objective measures becomes more tricky. The whole thing would be a mess.

    So therefore it’s far better to not allow anyone else to have them

  13. Poland morally is the only country in Europe which should have it’s own native nuclear arsenal and doesn’t. I hope the Poles develop their own.
