1. Many of you may remember how in 2014 Ostrovsky covered an exhumation of Protestants who had been kidnapped from their church and murdered by Russian forces in an episode of Russian Roulette: https://youtu.be/UBsEkF_GY0E

4. Politicians claim these reasons for the voters, not for their actual reasoning. It’s convenient posturing that makes one group feel represented while not creating too many vulnerabilities. It’s probably not true, but we shouldn’t look too much into it.

   The reason you can say it’s probably not true is because of Bucha etc. The Russians have shown themselves to have a truly vile culture that doesn’t value human life much more than in the Stalinist era.

    2 – If they are politically driven the way the American Evangelical movement is… under no conditions give them political power. Freedom to worship is one thing, “freedom” to compel others to worship as you do is another and is a BIG part of why the US is in its current [political] ~~mess~~ clusterfuck.

12. Honestly, I suspect another part of it was Johnson realizing that if Russia won, there would be a lot of very angry Ukrainians with a bone to pick with him in particular…

13. I don’t really know much about Simon Ostrovsky, but I do remember following his reports from Ukraine in 2014, in which he showed clearly Russia’s false flag operations, abuse and torture of civilians, summary executions, and Russia’s direct involvement in the so called “separatist forces”.
