  1. We’re a great little nation so we are, pats on the back all round lads

  2. We are such a tinpot nation when anything involving someone famous from america notices our existence

  3. I’d say Bono is raging that Dalkey is so up its own hole about Matt Damon living there for a few weeks, when he’s lived there years

  4. He looks like a sketch of one of the village people if anything 👮‍♂️

  5. Bad news is that I bought them all and am selling them outside the DART station for a very fair price.

  6. If you didn’t know it was Matt Damon, you’d think it was some random scanger.

  7. Wasn’t this an achingly minor news story like 5 years ago?

  8. Wow! Really got their finger on the zeitgeist have Rushe’s.

  9. Is this article based on the post here about this yesterday?

  10. Irish people constantly shitting on Americans because they claim to be Irish but also jizz them selves when they see an American celebrity do something that’s slightly Irish. You love to see it

  11. This is like something Bohs would put on a jersey

  12. Hollywood stars can get fawned over anywhere they go. I think what he and his family liked, was that they got less bothersome attention when they were here. People acknowledged them and treated them as though they were friends (or at least friendly) but they were left in peace and quiet for the most part, the media didn’t hound them, there was no paparazzi and they got a taste of pseudo normalcy. I read about an American journalist (Heather Tal Murphy) who was phoning around trying to get a scoop from the locals.. and they were told to basically fuck off and stop bothering the man. Dalkey – 1, American journo – 0.

How much of that was down to the lockdown and how much of it was just the people of Dalkey, is anyones guess.

  13. A few years to late. They should have done this when he was still in Ireland or just after he left.
