2. The only way anything changes is if we change the way we produce and consume, which means giving up a way of life we’ve grown accustomed to. Cheap disposable pointless goods are killing us, it’s an addiction foisted upon us by industry who seek only to squeeze blood from stone. Convince us this way is good and railroad us into living the way they want. Eventually we forget there was ever another path

3. How to equate these 2 statements:

   – Article: “Lowry says this new study shows that it is still possible to prevent the retreat of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet in the Siple Coast region. “Our modeling has helped us understand what caused changes in the past; we know that by mitigating greenhouse gas emissions to meet the Paris Agreement target, it is possible to limit that ocean warming to levels that won’t cause collapse of the ice sheet. This region is vulnerable, but we’re not there yet.””

   – Paper: “When these higher ocean temperature anomalies cease, extensive and rapid grounding line readvance occurs, on the timescale of hundreds of years.”

   Nowhere does he specify how the Soutern Ocean heat content gets reset. Paris agreement is keep to 1.5, not go back to 0.
