The Irish fishing boats are probably in better shape than the Russian Navy.
Fishing trawlers are known to be used as NATO spy vessels for these events. Not saying anything will kick off down there like happened the Kursk but they won’t think these are genuine protest trawlers but paid to be out there spying.
Also that is some serious amount of fuel they are spending getting out there. Guess the fishing industry isn’t gone from Ireland yet.

As far as I have read, the exercise has been approved by the EU and as much as it is still 240 km (width of Ireland is 275 km) off the coast and is normal and a small military exercise. Not sure what a few wee Irish fish boats have to do with it apart from a small duration they can’t fish there.
Seems a bit much and nothing to do with any of us this is happening and seems to be past the point of changing it .
