  1. I feel like the Rwanda scheme will increase this even more. Migrants will probably just say might as well travel to NI and then go to the south of Ireland where I won’t be sent to Rwanda.

    Even if the Rwanda scheme isn’t ever fully implemented or only lasts a very short time, the psychological effect of it could be quite strong. People may not want to risk staying in the UK for fear of being sent to Rwanda, which won’t exist in Ireland.
