  1. Please, please, please, for the love of God, put that orange motherfucker in jail.

  2. Guantanamo!!! Then he doesn’t need the Secret Service.

  3. If they’re preparing for it, it means there is a very real chance of it. I have a feeling they’d know if there wasnt a shot of him being penalized or facing contempt

  4. “You got nose plugs?”
“Got ’em. I’m good to go.”

  5. Just the other day, a Congressman introduced a bill that would removes USSS protection from anyone convicted of a crime.

Sure would be nice if that passed.

  6. He wants to go to jail.

    A) he knows he won’t be in general population at rikers or anything. The COs and administration will probably treat him like a king because their politics and job security align with his values.

    B) He loves being a victim. The Republican Party is the party of perpetual victimhood.

    C) It’ll stir up the crazies. Which is what he wants.

Best thing to do is let the trial play out and ideally result in a conviction. Then send him off to prison where he won’t be out in a few days screaming about how this is all unfair.

  7. Staffing should be really easy since they won’t have to go outside or travel anywhere.

  8. If he is not imprisoned, then the US criminal Justice system will be an irredeemable joke, and that is IF this is not the case already.

  9. I’m wondering how he’d manage to keep up his beauty routine if he’s in jail.

Will he still be able to spend a couple of hours on his comb over and spray tan and whatever else is in his daily regimen? Does he have an assistant who normally helps him with this every day? Will that person be able to visit to do the job?

  10. I’ve been thinking Merchan was speaking with the service during the 15-minute break after the hearing, which is why he returned 20 minutes late, possibly because he couldn’t get either a commitment or well-defined procedures. So he held his judgment until he knows exactly what is and isn’t workable. Maybe Friday? Fingers crossed.

  11. I’ve seen prisoners in the hospital. The guard sits in a chair outside the door. The SS can do the same, sit in a chair outside his cell.

  12. Wouldn’t that make their job a lot easier? Let’s be clear: Donald isn’t going to be held in some maximum-security hellhole with rapists and murderers. (Aside from Donald himself, that is.)

It‘ll be some minimum-security facility probably akin a resort he can’t leave. He might even be its only prisoner, since he is a former President.

But now the Secret Service won’t have to protect him while he’s on the move or attending rallies, which I’m sure is a logistical headache.

  13. *NOW* they’re preparing for that? They should have been preparing for it as soon as he was first indicted. The fact that they’ve waited until now tells me they never expected that he would see jail, but now they expect that he will.

  14. I don’t understand all these posts about how difficult it will be for the Secret Service to get ready for Trump in jail. It’s not hard to secure a single cell with a single food source and a very limited visitor list. In fact, it sounds like it’s going to be substantially easier than the normal version of their job. They’ll have to coordinate with jail staff, but that can’t be that difficult.

  15. Im throwing a party if it happens. You’re all invited. I’ll make carne asada tacos

  16. This is the Republican Party’s best choice for president.

What a fucking joke of a party.

  17. If this happens… taking the day off work, grabbing a nice bottle of something, and watching Drag DnD the entire night.

  18. CNN is saying he won’t ever get jail for breaking the gag order. If his comments lead to someone being physically assaulted I don’t think the judge will have any choice.

  19. I’m sure following Trump around for protection 24/7 is a prison of its own.

  20. Millions of simultaneous orgasms will occur if he is jailed.

  21. Secret Service detail should be revoked the minute he is convicted.

  22. How were so many people so f**king stupid to vote for such an obvious con man?

  23. Put him in jail just long enough for him to take his last breath in there. Please.
