I’ve been looking into Mats Wieffer as a potential number 6 for Barcelona for a while. I know he plays in the Dutch league but man this guy can actually play, the fundamentals he possesses mean he would be a great fit at the club whether it be as a single pivot or in a double (preferably lone 6). One touch passing is great, finds the right spaces in the build-up phase, long balls, short passes, defends spaces, can tackle, naturally great in the air because of his stature. I personally think he’ll be a MUCH better fit compared to the likes of Onana, and Christensen (if we decide to throw next season by not spending on a DM).
Because he plays in the Dutch league, his price compared to the likes of Onana, Zubimendi, would naturally be lower. Around 30-35M, personally I think it’ll be a brilliant deal. Maybe that’ll also leave us enough funds for a left forward. What do you guys think?

I think the Euros will tell better how good he is cause they are surely gonna be more challenging than the dutch league (no disrespect to the league it’s good but not as physical as laliga)
Yeah I’m not entirely sure he would be an instant undisputed starter but certainly a decent, affordable hard working no nonsense team player that would help maintain a broad selection and can probably grow into a starting role if we allow him some time to adjust.
This is the dream. Give him a pressure-free season off the bench with occasional starts where Christensen can start and have him fully ready for the next season. We need to be better with how we handle our talents. As much as I’d love to see Roque more, it’s better than just throwing him out there to be crucified if he does poor.
