Speaking of Russians, here’s Irish MEP Grace O’Sullivan climbing a Soviet warship protesting the transport of nuclear weapons in 1989

  1. *Salute.*

She’d have a field day in Scotland.

  2. Fair play to her and all that.

Tangentially…. Are there any restrictions for MEP’s or other EU elected posts that prohibit them being elected or serving if they have a criminal record?

  3. So great we have at least one elected representative with actual principles and convictions and a history of action to prove her commitment to them. Wish people would properly hold the rest to such a standard.

  4. I know this isn’t the point, but I can’t help but see the chain above her head as hair – like she’s braided it in a funky way.

  5. She’s such a boss, and having worked with her on some Seas and coast EU policies, I can attest thats she’s incredibly driven, enthusiastic and very friendly!

  6. If I’m correct that is a Kirvo Class Battlecruiser the largest surface warship in the world, a nuclear powered ship class with ICBMs along with numerus other weapon systems…

she’s got big balls climbing up on that fairplay!

  7. Grace is so admirable, and a lovely person to boot. She helped me a while ago for a work related biodiversity project-we live in the same town.
She’s also a champion surfer and became Ireland’s first female surfer to win the national surfing championship in her teens.
