The 2023/24 Premier League season is now the highest-scoring 38-game campaign in the competition’s history. 1,085 goals and counting.

  1. Crazy enough, it’s on track to break the 42 game record of 1222. This season has been nuts.

  2. Man U conceding 50% of the 1,085 is also quite impressive

  3. Keep this in mind when comparing goal scoring records from years ago.

  4. Take a bow, Harry Maguire. (Both sides of the stat lol)

  5. That’s what happens when there’s 10 added minutes at the end of each half

  6. No shit now that the games are 100 minutes

    And Badiashille is playing

  7. I’d love to see a stat of how many more minutes have been played and how many of those goals were scored in those extra minutes

  8. I think it’s shows a decline in overall football quality. Entertaining? For sure, but then that’s really the only thing the EPL has over Leagues like the Bundesliga, La Liga and Serie A.
