Els Van Hoof (CD&V), the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, was hacked by Chinese spies in 2021. This appears from an FBI report, reports Het Nieuwsblad. Van Hoof allegedly opened some emails at the time, allowing hackers to obtain her IP address. "They want to intimidate me, but I'm not going to give in to it," Van Hoof responded.
