Hi everyone,

I am currently doing my final semester (thesis) of my Erasmus Mundus Masters. For the purpose of my thesis which happens to be with a German university, I obtained mobility notification (since I hold a resident permit from another EU member state and quality for that – https://www.bamf.de/EN/Themen/MigrationAufenthalt/ZuwandererDrittstaaten/MobilitaetEU/MobilitaetStudent/mobilitaet-student-node.html). My resident permit of the other EU member state is valid until the end of August and hence my mobility notification in Germany is also valid until then. Now, I would like to apply for a job seeker visa while I am here so that I can stay in Germany to look for a job and not have to leave by the end of August. I have 3 years of previous experience in my field of study and I have enough funds to support myself for 6 months (which I think is the maximum time for a job-search visa if I don't get a degree from a German university).

Super grateful for this community and the information that I could find from this sub, please help me out!

  1. So I would like to know if this is possible. If yes, how do I go about it? I would also like to maximise my time to find a job while I am here so if I get the job-seeker visa from the time my mobility expires, it would be perfect 🙁
