4. Russia is barely winning in the ukraine i doubt it that they could take on nato. The Russian nutjob most likely knows about this. Heck even the dumbass Kim Jong-un knows better than to start a war that involves the U.S.

   Vlad the Mad likes to concentrate his attacks on non-military targets where possible. Targets like blocks of flats, schools, hospitals and railway stations.

    Which depends on Russia being taken seriously. If NATO will (again) think that Russia will just snack on a few Baltic states and never bother anyone again, it will never stop.

14. Russia is barely starting to win a war with a neighbor that has ~15% the military manpower and every foreign weapon comes with the condition of “don’t use this outside of the territory that you already lost”.

    NATO would roll back Russian IAD within 24 hours and there is no strategic depth to their air defense. Very much “hard on the outside; soft on the inside”.

30. This really isn’t news; Russia can’t even defeat a much smaller country (Ukraine) with a small military. Dealing with NATO means the US military with US fighter jets (and pilots), 82nd/101st Airborne and the US Navy. Russia will never go to war with NATO – that would be the end of Putin, and he knows that.

31. I understand that Poland has really ramped up its military I don’t see how much longer Russia can slog this out. They’re throwing their next 50 years of progress into a blender and getting nothing but bloody ground. This is Putin’s legacy if the war ends he’s done he needs to be removed from power if Russia wants to even stand as a world power in the future.

34. Yes they would, if NATO would stand together against it, unified. With US nuclear umbrella as a deterrent.

    But unfortunately that isnt guaranteed. NATO article 5 doesnt bind anyone to help other countries militarily.
