1. As if the parental support policies offered would come anywhere close to balance the imbalance that a child would bring between work, money and free time. I will throw an olive branch and not mention the stress caused by the imbalance of those.

2. or, and this is just a crazy thought, people are having fewer kids because they want fewer kids?

3. It has gone down in all countries due to urbanization. Question is what is different compared to other similar countries

4. Women get too old before they start having kids and then it turns out it doesn’t happen immediately. Then the real stress begins which further makes it harder to conceive.
