Somehow the entire text I wrote for the post has disappeared, i have tried lemon+baking soda and vinegar but this hard water stains done leave this part of the sink where I wash dishes and the kitchen doesnt look super clean even though the rest of the kitchen is shiny and clean..can someone help!
Depends on what is on that surface. Some scrubbing/cleaner/descaler might help, but if those are scratches, well, they are in the material and you won’t get rid of them short of buying a new sink.
Citric Acid, Kalkreiniger, Vinegar,… Literally anything sour will do the job.
Jeez. Are Germans dirty?
Depending on what material you have, there might be nothing that can be done. Those cheap plastik washbasins tend to lose color. We had the same problem. We thought it would be water stains, but found out that all the scrubbing and constant contact with soap just damaged the surface and faded the color. If it is just water stains, any acid can do the trick. As others wrote, I would agree that “Essigessenz” might be the best choice. I wouldn’t use something more aggressiv to not damage the surface. If this does not help, you might need to change the basin.
You need Kalkreiniger, Entkalker, Zitronensäure (citric acid) or similar. Let it soak for some time before wiping. Don’t use soda or anything basic because that will neutralize any acid.
I bought a pack of Amidosulfonsäure once which is superb for removing lime. 30g for 1l of water and it’s not to hard on other materials such as plastics which can either take the scent of vinegar or change color over time with citric acid.

Replace it with a functional double tub.
