Not the brightest people in the world to turn your back on a riot squad. Unless that’s to run away ofcourse.
We should go down the same route as Denmark when it comes to migration. Then this madness will stop
Sure a good quick ol’ way to radicalise people
What a total shitshow of a situation. A fucking riot squad in a village in the middle of nowhere because the powers that be decided to settle a bunch of asylum seekers there. Nobody wins or benefits from this (apart from some in the hospitality sector lining their pockets) and it’s just sad all around and yet another total waste of money, resources & time.
Strong arm approach from authorities to build accommodation and settle people in these sites won’t help, it’ll only add fuel on to a fire. The site will need round the clock protection and nobody in it or working in it will be safe. Locals also won’t feel safe and will feel neglected/ not listened to by authorities. Gardai are caught in the middle of all of this shit when they’ve better things to be doing.
This is what happens when a government doesn’t listen and can’t negotiate with its own people. This is becoming all too common a situation and it’s only going to get worse as we try to find more sites / locations to accommodate people.

Bunch of thugs.
I wonder how many were actually locals and not rent a crowd of school of hard knocks, concerned citizens, citizen journalists, inbred gobshites.
It’s not a protest when they are starting fires, it’s a riot.
“Foreigners are destroying our town!” Says crowd, currently burning their town
