You worked really hard for a second yellow bro.
The biggest news for me is Carlo confirming he’ll stay at Madrid next season.
I was expecting him to leave (not a loan) and am ecstatic that his Madrid story is just starting.
If he can get at least one more season with the likes of Modric, Kroos, Carvajal Alana Nacho – the type of players that can instill the wisdom he’s lacking now; it would be great. Then again there’s Valverde who’s young AND the perfect embodiment of that culture who’s also pretty good friends with the guy, so that’s a win.
Yesterday he looked comfortable with the team and that can only grow from here.
It’s refreshing and jarring to see everyone being very familiar with his style. We as spectators only see him in brief glimpses but these guys have been training with him for a year so of course it makes sense.
I feel like we’re witnessing the beginnings of an immense team with so many young stars in Madrid already and even some in their way.
Like an Arsenal fan said yesterday at the /soccer sub; “we are going to have to deal with you for the next 10 years aren’t we” lol.
His time will come. You could see at start he was little lost. He will get subbed on more and more for 15 min so they can correct his mistakes and teach him better.
Full trust in Carlo to know what is best for him if he wants to play for RM.
He needs to play in Bellingham’s position to see more of the ball. There were times when he was wide open and the others were fucking around on the left, especially Ceballos who played like shit. He had to go to the left to get the ball and eventually score.
He looked like a little puppy playing at the park for the first time. Things you love to see. But needs to get more mature in his play. I think bringing him on for 60min in these type of games is the perfect way to do that.
Love this dude already!
Loved his defensive game too yesterday. My boy tackled, pushed and was aggressive. Sky is the limit Arda! Vamos!
