  2. Its a possession football thing. They think just because they hold the ball aimlessly for more minutes than us, they should be automatic winners.

    You see this stupidity in a lot of coaches/ players who play “beautiful football”.. be it Xavi Rodri Arteta… now Take. Same reason why Arteta thinks Arsenal would automatically lead other leagues as if other leagues dont know how to park the bus and defend like their lives depend on it.

They created and had the chances to score multiple times but couldn’t convert, and instead of reflecting upon themselves and trying to pinpoint things they could improve upon within their control, they throw out weak minded phrases like previously stated. Madrid didn’t have the strongest of games but still managed to win by taking advantage of one of the few chances they had.   16. If you are wondering why you hold the ball a lot and generate a lot of shots without scoring, don’t blame luck, go get better players.

    Being efficient and clinical is a feature, not a bug. People didn’t praise Haaland last year because he’s able to take a lot of shots. People praised him last year because the shots he took went in.

    To be very clear I’m not saying the ability to hold possession and generating chances isn’t important. But so is the ability to be clutch when the opportunity to score presents itself.
