  4. They are keeping themselves afloat via a bubble of inflated fossil fuel prices and reserves, which will burst and are running out. Putin has made Russian futures look rather bleak, as well as Ukranians for the foreseeable future

  5. In Firefox, I tend to find that the ‘Toggle Reader View’ at the end of the address bar (also accessible via F9 on the keyboard) shows the full article and gets around most paywalls. You do lose access to some videos and the layout changes, but generally the article is readable (this nytimes article included).
