At night, the enemy fired S-300 missiles at the Kharkiv psychiatric hospital: at the time of the attack, there were about 900 patients and 250+ medical staff there,” said Mayor. Fortunately, the missiles hit the ground and not the buildings of the medical facility – 0 deaths this time 🙏

  2. there seems to be a theme of targeting hospitals for disabled rather than just general hospitals.

  3. Ever been to a place where the sick people are? This can be a hospice, a nursing home, any hospital, certainly any ER, and of course, various kinds of rehabilitation, sanitariums, psychiatric hospitals.

Mental illness, my doctor tells me, gets to levels most people can’t imagine, and all he knows is, as a doctor, he is glad they have the meds they have today. “These people are sometimes in tremendous pain” he tells me. Pain of the mind. It is real.

How a society treats those who are weak or disabled or vulnerable sez a lot about that society and let’s all be honest and acknowledge we have so far to go on this front.

But my country is not bombing another country’s psychiatric hospitals and I will take some comfort in that.

I let myself get angry because I refuse to get numb to this terror.

  4. They probably mistakenly thought it was a maternity ward and disarmed the misslea at the last second
