Hi everyone! Next week, I'll be embarking on a 10-day cycling adventure across Slovenia! By Tuesday, me and my friends plan to ride from Bovec to Kranjska Gora via the Vršič Pass. However, I'm unsure about the pass's current status.
Yesterday, the traffic site (https://promet.si/en) indicated the pass was closed, but today it only mentions that winter gear is necessary and mentions single lane traffic due to alternate lane operations towards Kranjska Gora, but Google Maps still shows it as closed! Who is right? 🙂
Our alternative route would be travelling from Bovec to Tarvisio through Prelaz Predel and then on to Kranjska Gora.
Does anyone have the latest updates or reliable information on the status of Vršič Pass? Also, would it likely be open by next Tuesday? I'm looking for the most accurate source for this information since re-routing can be a problem…
Thanks!

https://www.amzs.si/na-poti/alpski-prelazi/vrsic-slovenija says open for cars with winter gear.
https://erjavcevakoca.si/posnetki/ you can see a small patch of the road with no snow.
I think it should be fine if you are dressed properly for the weather.
You trust Google more than local info? WTF
