In China, luxury EV start at $30,000 — like this Xiaomi SU7. There are really cheap ones like Wuling for $5,000 as well as super expensive ones like BYD U9 for $200,000. This is a good economic model that serves everyone.

Wow
Besides safety regulations at all levels (and i know they cost a lot), are there any other reasons US cant produce at this rate?
Please also ignore corporate greed for some reason
Yuan?
Subsides are not a good economic model on the long term.
The newly released Xiaomi Su-7 comes off an almost completely automated production line that spits out a car every 76 seconds.
That being said, it’s faster than the new porche Taycan and I want one as soon as they’re available in Thailand
It’s very affordable, but I don’t think the US could keep up with that level of production and price
Alright but what are those crowd doing?
