Not just rent, council tax as well…..fucking tremendous
I love how every problem facing the people of today come down to 2 things:
* Rent
* Wages
yet those in charge will ignore that
Great. Plusnet are increasing their bills by something like 9% too.
That’s fine they can just make up the difference with their magic money trees
Sadly, this is not a surprise. Landlords often seem to put up rent for the hell of it, knowing they will just find new tenants who can/will pay if their current tenants move out. Landlords know they have people in a vice grip and many do not have the option to move as other landlords raise their rents at the same time.
Every single year I get a letter stating my rent is increasing. It’s depressing.
Are Housing Associations restricted to a profit cap on SH same as local authority?
I know private sector ll can set their own rate just wondering where the HA falls between the two.
