Trying to put aside partisanship for a moment (I.e Corbyn’s Marmite factor).
How could the party, ever really morally and politically restore the whip to him?
Labour (and thus he as leader shouldering responsibility) was found by an independent commission to have breached equality and discrimination laws. Noting that there were clearly multiple occasions where Corbyn had opportunity and good cause to tackle these claims, and he did not.
Corbyn broke the rules. I liked the guys vision and what he stands for. But ultimately he failed as a leader. And losing the Jewish vote cost them dear in the election. I can’t see how Labour could reinstate him now and not surrender huge swathes of the support they have regained from the Center.
If Starmer reinstated him to the party, what kind of a signal would that send after the grilling the Tories have had over Owen Paterson, Priti Patel, and Johnson breaking covid rules?
Labour have to be seen as better than the Tories. Plus, politically you can imagine the media and Tory storm reinstating him would cause.
He’s better off as an independent. Labour are on a suicide mission.
It’d be hilarious if he teamed up with George Galloway, as unlikely as that seems. Actual left wing politics would have a chance at success while wokesters would seethe uncontrollably as they slowly fade from existence like Sauron’s endgame
He only had to apologise for the antisemitism to get the Labour whip back, but that’s too much trouble apparently.
He’s too old.
Just bloody retire and walk along the sea or something already.
Enough of these pensioners in politics.
I wish all those young middle-class London LARPers hanging around Labour and pretending to represent Labour values when they’re in fact piss-ignorant about the Labour movement and only came for Corbyn will now get out and stay out. Plenty of tiny irrelevant fringe parties they that would suit them better.
The further that old coot is away from politics the more likely we are of voting out the shower of shit that is the tories.
Nobody has done more to turn the UK into a one party state than jeremy fucking corbyn.
Tories are more welcome in Labour than socialists 😂
If you’re in England you might as well just vote Green, can’t see any other option.
maybe it’s time for England to have a socialist party again.
