Happened like 10 mins ago. Don’t know the context… Just saw the riders minding their fucking business and then this. Curious tho, few moments later appeared a lot of people defending the little scumbags as usual.
Why is scrotish behaviour ignored to such an extent by the Guards in Dublin?

To add some context,I have no links to news articles just what I’ve heard from some ‘sources’, but a number of the deliveroo lads do a bit of dealing on the side (remember the rickshaw dealers?), it’s taking away from the local dublin street dealers who don’t like these lads moving in on there turf, so they give the young lads some money to rough them up, steal there bikes and/or supplies. They won’t report it to the guards and the guards don’t care because they only care about getting crimes reported down, because that’s what looks good
It’s a form of sport for them. Like knock and run when you were a kid. It’s kinda funny at this stage. Kinda 👀
The upside of living in the countryside means I don’t have to deal with these little scrotes

It’s sad to see. I used to be around Smithfield constantly during the evening a few years ago and never saw too much trouble and always felt safe.

Do the Guards even give a shit anymore? Even if they were bothered to do the paperwork of catching them, they’d be let off and driven home by their parents and if they were convicted they’d take a diversion course for an hour and walk out the door.
If not, delivery drivers need to start carrying something to protect themselves with if they have no other alternative and be allowed to beat the shit out of these kind.
Know of 2 barmen who got the shite bate out of them this weekend in a ruralish town because they refused to serve the fellas after closing and the fellas waited around until they locked up and beat the shit out of them with a pipe. Barman rang the guards and the guards know of the fellas who gave the beating and are scared of them so wouldn’t do anything. We are supposed to feel safe with the Garda not turned down by them.

I don’t fucking get it. These people bring people food. You get to stay in the house and enjoy pizza that this lovely person gets to you. How much of a scrote do you have to be to fuck that up for everybody?
Is that Smithfield? They may have gentrified the square there but it’s still an extremely rough area. Lots of active drug users about.

It’s a drug territorial thing. Some of these drivers do not deliver anything other than drugs and they’re doing it on Irish gangsters patches who get the young lads to beat them up.
Those guys work bloody hard for their money. Awful to see them treated like this.
I know a lot of them tend to be from Brazil….. let’s just say I hope they caught that asshole and he learned that those lads invented a thing called jiu jitsu.

Hear me out, I’m absolutely not advocating violence against anyone, I have to preface with that… one or many of these people will meet misfortune in their lives, that’s just an unavoidable fact. But the day any one of these guys gets stabbed over a 50bag they stole from the wrong person, or one of them overdoses on heroin, or falls pissed drunk into the river… it will be a sad day for their families sure… but all I’m saying is if you weigh up before and after that day, I feel society will be net-better after. It is beyond my comprehension at present to understand any alternative to this statement…. however please if you think otherwise, please please convince me, I want to be less cynical and feel more optimistic

i said it before and i’ll say it again, Malaga, and Lisbon felt so safe cause of the huge police presence, also many people were drinking on the streets, but so disciplined. wtf is wrong with our culture?
