I think it’s less about migrants and more about the ones who just come here on fake asylum claims despite not being in actual danger, the only “merit” is the passport they have, which is of a country that just happens to be at war, and then cause all sorts of problems here.
The migrants in general are not a problem IMO. There are good ones who assimilate, contribute and build up the country, it’s the same as in the US.
But unfortunately, everyone is lumped into one category, which isn’t right.
And a-hole politicians use migrants to shift the spotlight away from their own shortcomings and/or corrupt deeds.
I once had to do a debate in school about wheter or not immigrants were an enrichment to Dutch Culture.
I was on team no.
I shit you not, I used this sentence in the debate:
‘The only culture they enrich, is the culture in my stomach.’
Anyway got an 8/10 so gg.
