  1. Europe and NATO can fund Ukraine to fight Russia today, or they will have to fight Russia tomorrow

  2. I’m sure the GOP house is having a party 🥳

  3. Could someone tell me what weapons would make a difference for the Ukrainians ? What could the west send today and with limited training

  4. Don’t they need more soldiers? Are they not conscripting en masse? This is about their very survival as a country. Weapons are great but if there is no one to use them then it’s a moot point.

  5. I saw an interesting video explaining Russian goals in this war. They know they cannot take all of Ukraine at this point, even in a best case scenario and they know that they will be outproduced/outspent by the west fairly quickly. So, Russia is playing the long game.
Their current goal is to gobble up as much territory as possible and ensure that Ukraine becomes a weak/failed state. That’s why they are using so many of their missiles to target important/expensive infrastructure instead of military targets.
A destroyed and chaotic Ukraine will not be able to join NATO, or the EU, it will be no real threat to Russia and it will be easily influenced and manipulated.

  6. Anyone with a brain can tell Ukraine is in serious trouble. They simply don’t have the manpower to repell Russia without boots on the ground from other nations, or at the very least, a massive donation of artillery and general small caliber ammunition.

    I seriously worry for Ukraine.

  7. Remember like a week ago when every news outlet in the country was singing Mike Johnson’s praises and praising him for “taking a stand against MAGA” for not maliciously stalling anymore and essentially being strong armed into doing his job?

Yeah, all of *this* is his fault. Him and the rest of the Republican Party.

  8. “Really bad” would be a very generous understatement. Two guys from my home town were sitting under non-stop bombardment for weeks, WITHOUT ANY BULLETS. There was no order to retreat, just “sit there and die” basically. Eventually when russians started to advance and intensified the shellings what was left of their division escaped, no idea how. They deserted and managed to somehow return home, where they are currently hiding. It’s really, really bad.

  9. I only hear about Ukraine winning or destroying something expensive so I don’t know how we got here.

  10. They waited until Ukraine lines was on the verge of collapsing to finally agree to send aid, Ukrainian lives are on Republican hands as well Ruzzians and now they will probably use this as evidence of why they shouldn’t give Ukrainians aid even though its their fault

  11. This is what happens when Ukraine doesn’t get the weapons they need. People here are talking about “manpower” but what they forget is that material and ammo is so vastly more important than manpower in big wars. It doesn’t take that many men to operate artillery guns and if they have plenty of ammo (especially cluster ammo) they can inflict massive losses on the enemy. If they don’t have ammo they end taking massive losses while inflicting relatively few.

Ukraine doesn’t need western “boots on the ground” to win they need western countries to get serious about providing them with weapons and equipment. In fact one of the drivers of Ukraine’s manpower issues has been the fact that they haven’t mobilized as many people as they could largely because they don’t have sufficient ammo and equipment for them. Give Ukraine ammo and equipment and they can win.

  12. The west were never interested in a Ukrainian victory. All they wanted to do was bleed russia for as long as they can.

That is a diffferent level of evil and gross on so many levels.

  13. So nice to have a war with russia and cant attack them on their territory where they regroup and prepare for a new offensive just on chill.

And russia freely destroy our capabilities (its hard to imagine how hard will our next winter, we already lost few major power grids ..).. god i dunno what world think about and whan plans they have ..

  14. Russia was always going to “win” this unless the west commits troops on the ground.

Ukraine will have to fight an insurgent war and basically never quit until Russia decides they can’t deal with it anymore.

  15. Maybe Ukraine should ask it’s neighbors for more help Europe👀

  16. With 60 billion from the US and around 60bi from Europe as well – IIRC there was news about it -, they won’t lack in ammo and weapons so Russia will slow down, but the truth is, the situation for Ukraine is hard regardless since they are outnumbered.

Even with the aid the summer offensive will be hard to hold.

  17. Ukraine cannot win the war until they attack Russia in their home base. Otherwise Russia can just regroup and resupply forever

  18. Russia is pushing as hard as possible right now, because in the near future things are going to worsen for Russia. It takes awhile for legislation to translate to frontline situations.

  19. I said it in another comment but if Ukraine wants to hold it now might be the time to draft 500k women.

Train them, arm them with the newid package and send them to the frontlines to fight against the new Russian offensive.

They won’t do as well as men but they’d probably make a big difference in terms of having the manpower to hold the positions, we won’t know until we see them in action.

  20. This is the third time this article has been posted in the last 4 days.

Russian propaganda working full over time to make the situation sound way worse than it actually is.

  21. France will go in before Ukraine loses and Poland.

  22. This has always been the Russian strategy. They have the numbers and send their men to meat grinders till the other side loses numbers then send in their top guys to finish it.
