Realistically the Irish courts will never allow the government to deport someone back to the UK when they could then end up in Rwanda.
Invoice them for the money they promised Rwanda for refugees and take them to the small claims court when they don’t pay.
Any asylum seekers coming from the UK should be acidosis be refused and denied any state benefits other than a flight or ferry ticket out.

I mean we’re told refugees don’t need to claim asylum in the first country they’ve been in so if they haven’t claimed asylum in UK and entered there illegally, why would UK accept them back. If it was Ireland they were being returned to, I wouldn’t want them back.

Ireland will need to sit down with EU and make a case for them – perhaps quoting CTA – to either join UKs Rwanda policy for anyone who is rejected by Ireland as well, I know, how pleasant…. or the EU will have to work with the UK and NI and get passport control in place between mainland UK and NI (Basically United Ireland alpha release). Either way it’s a sh1tshow unfortunately.
Taking it out on the refugees isn’t going to achieve anything, other than ripping the Irish society apart by giving fuel to rightwing lunes.
