Picked this £3 shirt up from our local charity shop, only because Wendolene reminds me of my partner and I do look similar to Wallace (body wise)

Fast forward a couple of days, I was told this shirt is quite collectible. So I hopped on eBay and found the same shirt going for £90+! Madness.

Safe to say I’ll not be sleeping nor eating in this shirt… maybe a bit of cheese and a few crackers won’t hurt.

What’s been your best charity shop find?

  1. My mum had a mug that she loved and used constantly that got broken about 20 years ago. Big mug with Donald Duck on. She was pretty sad about it and we struggled to find her another giant mug for her bucket of coffee (pre Sports Direct mug days), but found an OK substitute. Last year I was in a different city on a street with loads of charity shops and only had time for one before my train, so picked at random. Went in and my eyes were instantly drawn to a mug exactly the same as the old one! Got it for her and she was so happy with it. No value except sentimental, but couldn’t believe I found the exact mug

  2. Eee, lad, crackin’ find

What is Wallace’s accent btw? Is it East Riding? He should have married Wendoline – it would have meant more cheese for him because she doesn’t like it, the daft apeth

I’ve never had much luck with charity shop finds. The stuff I usually find are things I can reuse and upcycle into something. Used to find old console games that might be worth something but never bothered. I see a lot of wii-fit boards and wii-motes in my local YMCA, though – could finally use that Arduino I bought years ago for something

  3. A few years ago I bought a lynx gift set from the mid 90s…..never opened…..sold it on eBay for over £100…..who knew people collect Lynx!!!
