the words “skyrocket” and “surge” have completely lost all meaning
Coffee has already increased in price, particularly the much more delicate arabicas.
I remember the days not too long ago when a 16oz back of fresh coffee beans coasted maybe $12. Now a bag is nearly $20, and that is for 12oz these days.
Lately I’ve been seeing the norm switching to 10oz bags, even 8oz in some places.
Well that sucks
Time to start selling caffeinated barley beverages 😁
lol, what hasn’t skyrocketed in price
Arabica (the better kind) will become a luxury out of reach of most folks except as a special treat in the next few years. Climate crisis is decimating yields. But in fairness, food generally is going to continue to get much more expensive, so drinking coffee that isn’t as good will not be our biggest problem…
Good thing I don’t drink coffee, chocolate on the other hand…
