Scotland Yard are allowing no-go zones for Jews in London, a man has claimed, after officers threatened to arrest him for “antagonising” pro-Palestinian marchers.

Gideon Falter, head of the Campaign Against Antisemitism, was wearing a kippah skull cap when he was stopped by officers last Saturday in the Aldwych area while on a walk with friends after attending synagogue.

Mr Falter was walking along carrying a bag containing his prayer shawl when he came across a pro-Palestinian march.

In an exchange that was filmed and uploaded to social media, Mr Falter was told he would not be allowed to cross the road while the march was taking place because as a Jew his presence could create tensions among the marchers.

  2. There is no march someone should not be allowed to join. Support to Jewish people from New Zealand. I have witnessed so many incidences at these marches were people including Jewish as well as Iranian people who support Israel have been threatened. Stop gaslighting and blaming the victims.

  8. The cop did nothing wrong. He was actually looking out for that man's safety. An openly Jewish man (he's wearing a yarmulke) trying to walk through a police cordon and through an active pro-Palestinian – i.e. anti-Jewish – march would have been in real personal danger.

    Of course, if they had let him go through and he was set upon (there's a better than even chance of that happening), he'd have bleated about a police failing to protect him. Or more likely, he'd accuse them of deliberately putting him in harm's way by letting an obviously Jewish person go into that dangerous situation.

  22. Saw a clip of this where it was a guy wearing a shirt that had stars of David on it. He was called a Zionist pig and told to die after he asked about coexistence. I showed this to my dad and he said he thought the Jewish guy was antagonizing the ProPalestine supporters. I guess we’ve gotten back to the point where Jews can openly be Jewish and can’t freely express their own identity. Idc what anyone says. That is straight up wrong.

  25. People every weekend, even non-Jewish people, are now avoiding confrontation with the hate marchers / mob in London. The rights of people demonstrating for Gaza and Hamas seems to out-weigh the rights of British people wanting to go about their normal lives. Such global issues are now visiting upon our own shores. How long will this be allowed to continue. The civil reaction to this unacceptable situation will only last for so long before civil unrest results as good people finally loose patience.
