Paintings rescued after fire breaks out at Copenhagen’s former stock exchange

Dramatic footage shows artworks being removed from Copenhagen’s 17th-century former stock exchange after the landmark building was engulfed in flames.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from the Dutch Renaissance-style building, which was undergoing renovation and clad in scaffolding. People were seen rushing in and out of the building carrying paintings to safety, and Danish media reported an annexe of the parliament and several ministries nearby, including the finance ministry, had been evacuated.

  1. Another 'Notre Dame' incident that ended up in destroying what was ment to be preserved..
Curious howcome working with highly flameable materials, – once again, – don't have a much higher level of precautions..

  2. The Guardian readers are on their way now with a tin of tomato soup to throw over the paintings to protest against white supremacy, climate change, and Jacob Reece Mogg's socks.

  3. First Notre Dame now Copenhagens old Stock Exchange. Someone please give me a holler when Buckingham Palace is up for restoration. I will show up, pockets full of sawdust, and accidentally drop a cigarette bud.

  4. And the swissy goes up zelensky or who ever trying to control the distribution ratios of someone else's account again luckily those bonds got moved 5 and a half months ago picked up in Paris paid 😮😂

  5. This buuilding was under renovation when fire started.

so, they do renovations without emptying the building? why paintings were inside?

  6. It's always when a renovation is going on. Can't they install safeguards during such processes then⁉️
NYC bishop was specially proactive during renovation of st Patrick's.
