Migrants going to Ireland shows Rwanda scheme is working as a deterrent says PM

Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister says
that uh many of the people are coming
acrossing these boats are finding their
way into Ireland are we simply exporting
the problem now is that the deterrent my
my focus is on the United Kingdom and
securing our borders but what that
common illustrates is a couple of things
one that illegal migration is a global
challenge which is why you’re seeing
multiple countries talk about doing
Third Country Partnerships looking at
novel ways to solve this problem and I
believe will follow where the UK has led
but what it also shows I think is that
the deterrent is according to your
comment already having an impact because
people are worried about coming here and
that demonstrates exactly what I’m
saying if people come to our country
illegally but know that they won’t be
able to stay they’re much less likely to
come and that’s why the Rwanda scheme is
so important

Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister said the threat of being deported to Rwanda had caused an influx of migrants to cross the border from Northern Ireland.

  1. Ireland deported 3 out of 188 illegal immigrants last year, this isn't the UK problem it's the spineless Irish government's problem and God forbid they get something right.

  2. Is Sunak wearing the red, knotted thread bracelet that people sell to ward off 'The Evil Eye'? From where I'm sitting, it looks EXACTLY like one. Have we got a highly superstitious PM? I don't think it actually works, and it would be well for him to know that there's absolutely nothing to protect him from bad karma. It's too late in the day for that.

  3. I really do feel like all these politicians especially the rishi all talk bollocks. We didn't get the brexit that was promised and we definitely do not have the country that out soldiers fought and sacrificied in any of the wars.
Does anyone in government ever give a straight honest answer.

  4. Foreigner speaks to Foreigner, about GB. GB should be run by none Muslims, after all, we`re "not" a Muslim country, just stating facts.

  5. It’s not acceptable to dump your problem on a third country. This would force Ireland to introduce border restrictions and stoke political tensions between Ireland and the UK. Who is funding and directing these migrants towards Ireland?

  6. Just stop giving them housing, health care, schooling and benefits (all paid for by tax payers) and they'll stop coming. Why is this soooo difficult for the government to understand ?
