14. What exactly happened there? I found that the Kuki-Zomi are a minority group in Manipur, and there have been ethnic classes since the 90’s. But it’s there any context behind that?

15. This happened last year and everyone I know here in India was disgusted and ashamed of it. The article reads that the women approached two officers in a car who didn’t have the keys to it and unfortunately the two officers were heavily outnumbered by the mob. I hate what happened to the women but I guess in most situations people will think for themselves before going up against a mob of people. I am glad the key perpetrators are arrested and being tried and while no amount of justice can give these women what they lost, I hope that with time they find some peace that these assholes are paying for it.
    Having said this I want to point out that this is a fundamental problem with people. Not necessarily an Indian problem. We have a lot of good people doing good things which aren’t as newsworthy so shitbags get the attention. And all shitty people take the spotlight.
