No shit. They became expensive as shit and then the interior is squeaking like crazy if you touch it.
Almost 60k€ for a passat, I rather buy slightly used and save literally 30-40k
Well, that happens when you put the Base Golf trim above eur 30k.
They have change prices of ALL their cars to 80K! /s
Modern people just don’t want to pay more than 20K for the car.
Haven’t been inspired by a Volkswagen in like 20 years lol
Maybe they should build cars that sell… there is a reason why Renault Zoé sold that much
Das emissiongate
Ever since they manufacutred their emmision results, my opinion of VW has been rock bottom. Not that im in the market of ketting a car, but it sure wouldn’t be a VW
Isn’t the car manufacturing market cylical though ?
All car brands want to be premium and luxurious nowadays. And try to make these kind with of cars in saturated market.
My parents could buy a brand new car for a month’s salary and they were house cleaners and buss drivers.
Where are the practical well engineered cars for common workers? They can’t sell more luxury vehicles than they already do. There are is just so many rich people.
VW still thinks it’s 2010 with their lineup but wants to price like they are Audi…
I used to be a diehard VW fan if such a thing can be said to exist, but they just keep shitting the bed with these new designs. The ID whatever has less stylistic integrity than a random EV from China, and comes at 4-5x the price.
EU is killing the economy in Europe. This has to stop. China, India and even the US is laughing at us for trying to save the climate by killing our own economy with stupid regulations. There have been no big, new companies built in the last decades in the EU, and now they even going to shut down the old companies like Mercedes and the VW giant.
Their ID series look like those ‘nearly cars’ that appear on insurance adverts and can’t be branded for copyright reasons.
Have you seen the ID 4, 5 and 6. Terrible interior design and an absolute disgrace in the battery capacity for the price.
Three cross SUVs in the 20-30k price range, golf is luxury now, 1.0l 3 cylinder is king, no entry level diesel, electric is far from the peoples choice at 40k+ prices…. what the hell am I even supposed to buy from VW? Other VAG cars still have some appeal but VW proper, nothing of interest.
No kidding? I, a humble nobody, am in the market for a car right now and I can tell you with absolute certainty that it’s not in my plans on going into debt to pay off an overpriced VW for the next 10years to safe the German economy. Overpeiced af. Dacia is just about the only new car I can reasonably afford.
My 2019 Transporter (which replaced my 2015 Transporter) was an absolute piece of crap. Riddled with issues.
I replaced it last year with a Vauxhall Vivaro which is not quite as refined, but it was around half the price and it’s been a much more reliable van.
VW have certainly lost me as a customer.
Just start making b5 1.9 tdi passats again.
They design their shit horribly and make their parts expensive af, you can only get away with that if the vehicle is also fast, which vw’s by and large aren’t.

Should not have gone electrical
But still wants to keep prices and margins.
