Yesterday the oligarch in charge of the governing party came out publicly saying all the protesters were NGO-funded agents trying to undermine the sovereignty of the country and he promised crackdowns on the opposition. So if there was any doubt about why the government wants this bill passed, there should be no excuse anymore. Any Georgian voting for this party is willingly signing away their independence to Russia.
Don’t give up Georgians, stay strong.
It’s also Europe’s fault if now you are in this mess and for this I apologise.
>Police in Georgia have used tear gas and rubber bullets against protesters as thousands rallied outside parliament in Tbilisi for a third week to oppose a controversial “foreign influence” bill.
>Lawmakers earlier debated the controversial legislation, which would require organisations receiving more than 20 percent of their funding from abroad to register as “foreign agents”.
>The proposed legislation has deepened divisions between the governing Georgian Dream party and the protest movement backed by opposition groups, civil society, celebrities and Georgia’s President Salome Zurabishvili.
>Critics have labelled the bill “the Russian law”, comparing it to Moscow’s “foreign agent” legislation, which has been used to crack down on dissent there.

Thousands of people are protesting pro-russian government of Ivanishvili in Georgia! People are not afraid of the government, their tear gas and rubber bullets. The corrupt government should be afraid of people!
