  1. Wouldn´t this read easier if it stated: Italy paternity leave to grow from ten days to up to three months.

It took me a while to decipher

  2. It’s all fun and awesome, until you realize the Italy is at 156% debt. Which is more than Greece in 2010.

I’m not really sure they can afford another populist social policy. Based on a very quick math, it will be tens of billion € per year.

And the worse part? Not just Italy, whole EU will be fucked once Italy collapses, much much worse than in case of Greece.

  3. Equalising parental leave also benefits women, in multiple ways.

    – It has been shown that men who take paternal leave become more involved in the household and in raising the kids later on, reducing the burden on the mother.
    – If men and women both are at risk of taking a leave, there is no reason for employers to discriminate against women.

  4. Great!!

When they did it here in France we went from 14 to 28 days! This year! 28 is still not enough!

    congrats Italy!

  5. You know, Italian dudes, fellas, bros, maybe it’s time to earn three deserved vacation months and help with the demographic problem at the same time ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  6. Italy with the gender equality, wow. Great to see. Crazy how some EU countries still see gender equality as ‘men suck here you go ladies’.
