Any tips on good Estonian music? Someone sent me this song [https://youtu.be/nTJjETaUtSU](https://youtu.be/nTJjETaUtSU) but is this really representative of Estonian music in general today?
Does anything about this video look modern? Never mind the video quality itself.
What genre are you interested in? Besides old traditional Estonian folk music that could be considered somewhat unique for Estonia, there probably is somethin good to offer in most western genres..
Yes, it does represent Estonian music today, because somewhere around the 90’s, we stopped making new music. We believe that eurodance is the ultimate form of music and no music will ever trump eurodance. I mean, [how can you make music that sounds better than this?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itTBqXouduI) Protip: you can’t. It’s the peak of culture.
Search “Orelipoiss” on youtube.
I guarantee that you wont be dissapointed.
Nublu if you like pop/rap
Küberrünnak & Karmo. Even if you don’t understand anything, the beat makes up for it
This question is really often asked here and maybe you can find your answer when using r/eesti search for keywords: “estonian music” and “eesti muusika”.
Also, we have at the moment Estonian Music Awards going on and you can find the winners and nominees here: [https://www.muusikaauhinnad.eu/voitjad-2021/](https://www.muusikaauhinnad.eu/voitjad-2021/)
Otherwise, some random rather good music examples from another same kind of post:
This was one of the 90’s pop-songs, everyone will probably flock in to this thread and suggest some indie/not so mainstream shit that they dig. As I understand then you want our current mainstream pop music?

Most Estonian rock music was lifted straight from the US.

There’s quite a bit of good canonical mainstream pop/rock music that captured that time frame/era perfectly and will never grow old though.
I will leave a few:
