Imagine being a “fan” of RM and wanting Vini out because you know nothing about football. Ha! I remember all the shit he got here, comments that he’ll never be RM quality, that he has to go. Even during this and previous season people wanted to bench him, replace with XYZ player and so on.
And he is calmly and steadly improving, adapting to a new formation and a more goal-oriented role in the diamond, all while being called a monkey by racist Spanish fans, kicked on the pitch with refs blind to fouls on him, and being portrayed by the media as the aggressor and instigator. You’d think his club’s own fans would give him a break, but no – every other match I’m seeing moronic opinions about Vini. This guy is as good as it gets when it comes to football and he loves Real Madrid. If you think he’s not good enough to be our number 7 – well, there you go: Cristiano was bought for a record fee when he was 24 yars old, and all the work he has done at Sporting and United… was replicated by Vini in Flamengo and Madrid.
To be honest I don’t like G+A thing. Goal and assist don’t have equal value.
Compare goals to goals, assists to assists.
Just for your information, Cristiano was winger until 2008, he focused on goals later in his career, not since the age of 17 as Vini.
Nonetheless, Vini’s numbers are impressive
Cristiano wasn’t even yet at RM at age 23. Vini has been since he was 18.
These are the “bad” years of Cristiano.
Comparing the Goat to anyone else is just a fool’s errand.
Not to mention it attaches more pressure to the said player.
Honestly, A lot of players around this age had better stats than cristiano. He was a treat to watch and a monster on the ball compared to what he was in madrid. That might explain CR7 stats. But again, Vini is absolute monster!!!
He can end up on the same tier as that of ronaldinho if he stays fit and consistent.
