  1. Is that before or after Ukraine dropped cluster munitions?

  2. This will be followed by a SERIOUS concern. Maybe even a warning

  3. Not the first time Russia breached ban on prohibited weapons nor will it be the last.

At this point, I don’t think Russia care less so long as Ukraine can be defeated.

  4. Why in Iraq was this a red line that caused us to invade, but now its just a shoulder shrug?

  5. Having international rules and laws is completely pointless as long as nobody wants to step up and enforce consequences.

  6. But cluster munitions or depleted uranium shells are fine right…

  7. Sweet. So guess we can shoot dirty bombs inside Russia now… fair is fair.

Fly a drone army with dildos on the top over the Kremlin and drop that shit.

  8. Well what is the global community going to do about it?

  9. so what haha. Every international body that raises any concern about anything (ICC, UN) is completely toothless and useless.

  10. Sometimes I see headlines like this and think “is this what’s going to push NATO into direct conflict?” But then I say to myself, “no, it’s just going to be stern disapproval.”.

  11. So we start a war with Iraq because of their alleged chemical weapons but won’t do shit about this.

  12. Putin needs to be taken out. Whoever does it will be a hero

  13. Sooo… what does this mean?  More inaction I assume

  14. I agree something should be done about it, but anything other than providing more support to Ukraine is pretty much a sentence of global nuclear warfare. Everyone here mocking NATO’s response really need to gauge the imminent threat of having their entire life flipped completely upside down.

  15. This has been known for months. Very strange it’s just now coming out.

    Russia is a terrorist state.

  16. I don’t trust what US says. They always lie in their own interests.

  17. 2009 srilanka civil war, Srilanka army used white phosphorus bomb, cluster munitions and it’s proved my many international agencies.

UN and international communities kept silence and so far no accountability.

  18. I know people are memeing on the global community’s lack of willingness to do anything, but the economic response to Russia’s invasion has been the largest by impact in history by a mile. For a decent sanctions tracker for individual tracking, see [here](https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-brookings-sanctions-tracker/). The list is approximately 5000 entities long, and does not even include totally prohibited actions and segments. Sanctions themselves are a response to global illegality and are only legal under the law of state responsibly in response to an illegal action of another state.

It is the most that the international community can realistically do without provoking international law, and each time something like this happens, the sanctions list expands. It has drastically impacted several countries, obviously including Russia, and has since the first wave in 2014 (see [Russia’s GDP](https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/NY.GDP.MKTP.CD?locations=RU)).

The reason sanctions are getting little play in the media is because people’s attention spans are so small and we only care about strong kinetic action. I have been counsel for several large western companies who have been drastically and irreparably affected by these sanctions. Sanctions packages will continue to be rolled out progressively over time in response to these actions, and will get more and more painful until nothing’s left or we resort to permanent forfeiture.

  19. Old Ilya pulled some strings and the reporter was going to pay dearly for doing his job. I’m glad dude was busted and punishment should be harsh it being wartime and all.

  20. You mean almost like a war crime? You mean something that college students would get upset and protest about? This, on top of ethnic cleansing? /s

  21. Seriously still not ONE angry student protestor on this issue?!?!?!!?!

  22. While we were busy carpet.bombing those worthless Arabs….

  23. Russia will cross every red line because nobody will hold them accountable or stop them.
