  1. >Chloropicrin, also known as PS (from Port Sunlight[4]) and nitrochloroform, is a chemical compound currently used as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial, fungicide, herbicide, insecticide, and nematicide.[5] It was used as a poison gas in World War I. Its chemical structural formula is Cl3C−NO2.

  2. And the world’s reaction will be:

    *crickets*

Because “we don’t want to escalate”. Meaning Russia has a mandate from the entire “West” to do as they please without repercussions.

  3. Well they did breach international law when they illegally invaded Ukraine, I think that was a dead give away what they think of the international agreements they sign

  4. why would they besmirch the purity of their otherwise entirely righteous military operation so?
    /s

  5. Another nazi move by nazi nation, and all governments ok with this

  6. Was Assad charged with war crimes back his forces killed all those civilians with Sarin gas? Not that I’m aware of.

Remember that history tells us war crimes are only for the losing side to face

  7. Riiiiight…with WMD’s they got from Saddam no doubt

  8. Does the US fear that the world will run out of Tear Gas before they are done gassing all their students?

  9. Is there any reason to not use this on the Russian now that they open this can of worm?

  10. What did they do, use tear gas against college protestors?

  11. America has a problem when anyone other than them and their allies use illegal weapons. No big deal when israel does

  12. Meanwhile, the US conspires with Israel to commit genocide so i guess we’re all even.

  13. This is only going to get worse if there isn’t a proper international response

  14. Let me guess, the response will be to punish them with meaningless sanctions?

  15. International Law is pointless if it is not enforced.

Either enforce it via some form of escalation, either through diplomatic isolation, complete end of trade, expulsion of all diplomats, mass expulsion of Russian visa holders, ultimatums to those who trade with Russia, interception of Russian trade, intervention in the war whether that be air defenses, CAPs, missile strikes on Russian bases in Syria, etc. statements mean jack fucking shit.

Either the law exists and you do something about it or the law doesn’t exist.

I hope people understand what I mean

  16. Russia breached a lot of global agreements and bans.

What’s the West going to do about it?

    *crickets*

  17. This is like playing Monopoly with a guy who just commandeers Boardwalk and Park Place and then being like, “Omg you’re not following the rules!” They’re not interested in rules, folks.

  18. Sure… Just like Syria was accused of, oups! Turns out it was fake.

  19. Why any one would treat them like anything more than a terrorist state is beyond me. Remember when Russia actually had a culture?

  20. Russia violates international law every day because they know they won’t be held accountable.
