RUS Deploys Elite VDV to Ochertyne–But Is it Too Late?

is Russia deploying its Elite vdv
divisions even as momentum slows in
their breakthrough in Ultra datina I’m
Paul US Army Combat veteran let’s talk
about it okay so the latest update is
that uh the isw was wrong it looks like
Russia still making some advances you
can see over the course of the 30th
while it’s arguably correct that they
haven’t really advanced in this Ultra
datina breakthrough you can see it looks
like they’re diverting their efforts
towards this town of
areski now here’s the thing you can see
they’ve Lea frogged from kic into the
town I kind of suspect if I were Ukraine
and I were being pushed in this
direction I would use this river system
here to try to build the defensive
perimeter right so I would say you know
abandon arcangeles and use this natural
barrier as kind of a redout to help
block this Russian advance so that’s
what I would suspect we’re going to see
that I think Ukrainian forces are going
to try to use this Novo Lex kendrika God
damn the these towns why does why can’t
Russia invade the places with monos
cable towns uh I think we’re going to
use this place as well as this sort of
River Reservoir system here to build a
containment line so to speak you know
there looks like to it it appears that
the Breakthrough is contained here on
the West side and on the south side uh
but it just remains to be contained in
this Arcane heske area and you can see
this is again it’s a it’s like a pretty
dramatic appearing surge but when you
look at the actual terrain it really
isn’t that significant it’s uh they’ve
basically just Advanced up a roadway
here uh into the town and again I really
suspect this is part of a a controlled
Ukrainian withdrawal because what you
don’t want you don’t want your troops to
be fighting up against this kind of
environment right cuz remember the
ukrainians can blow Bridges but so can
the Russians and so if ukrainians were
to withdraw right what you wouldn’t want
to do is be in a situation where we had
a bunch of Ukrainian units fighting here
and then Russia takes out the bridges
meaning that they can’t easily withdraw
from an advancing Russian Force so I
think it’s just a good practice again as
we talked about Ukraine is not out here
looking for a big Showdown right they
know that a wave of Aid is coming uh and
they want to have they don’t if they’re
going to fight the Russians they’re
going to retake territory and go on
offense and go toe-to-toe well they
might as well wait just a couple of
weeks uh because then they’re going to
have the full weight of us Aid behind
them so now I think you’re going to see
them withdraw to this point here and
then you’re going to see this
breakthrough stabilize that’s my thesis
um but we’re going to talk in a second
about just who is showing up here right
uh now if you want to get a preview of

we’re going to see just what tactics
Ukraine is using to try to grind out
this Russian offensive so check it out

news.com okay so coming to us from The
Institute for the study of War uh who
again was was wrong uh yesterday but you
know they are reporting that the Russian
mil blogger space rumor is that the 76th
or the seventh vdv divisions maybe even
both are being redeployed out of rotina
this is where they were deployed in 2023
to help contain the Ukrainian offensive
uh they obviously did so successfully um
and the Russian command now wants to see
their best light infantry troops uh try
to continue this breakthrough again one
of the things that we’ve seen
consistently in this war is that as
Russia pours units into a region Ukraine
pours defensive units into a region
that’s what we saw in Roba you might
remember as the Ukrainian forces surged
into this uh breach they tried to create
Russian forces just were thrown in in
all directions to try to contain it and
that’s what ukrainians are doing now
right and they appear to be succeeding
right the rate of Advance appears to be
slowing and so I think you’re going to
see more forces on both sides thrown in
here but the problem is of course when
you throw your sides your forces into
one place they can’t be thrown quickly
into another
right if you’re going to withdraw these
forces again to fight and say chv Yar uh
ukrainians are going to see that and
they’re going to inflict casualties and
uh they are going to reposition their
own forces uh in in turn so I think you
I think you’re still going to see this
right Russian command Russian troops
move slowly they they’re kind of
lumbering um so it wouldn’t shock me at
all that if the vdv divisions are
deployed there the problem is Ukraine
already has deployed its own Reserves
and again in in the medium term in the
next several weeks uh you’re going to
see Ukraine increase their relative
strength relative to Russia um now
there’s been some stories let me see if
I can find it here um that Russian ammo
production uh is just through the roof
um actually you know what we’re going to
save that for a video later today uh cuz
I wanted to keep this one focused on the
Tactical situation that’s emerging
