  1. Cabbies really do like flushing their money down the drain with frivolous lawsuits, don’t they?

  2. I’m not sure of the legal merits of their case. However, Uber were not complying with some basics of licensing at the time, and should have had to pay some penalty for not doing so. Restricted licence numbers, for example.

  3. I. Had so many rude cabbies, they brought it on themselves

  4. This lawsuit is frivolous as all hell, but fuck Uber too, this is a squabble between two groups of service providers out to fleece us

  5. Didn’t they collaborate with Uber tho? I’ve got an email from Uber today offering -30% off my 5 Black Cab Rides on Uber. So what’s going on?

  6. Black cabs are one of the biggest rip offs in London. I had the misfortune of hailing one on a Saturday night in October last year. Picked up from behind Oxo Tower around 11pm and driven to Battersea Power station where I was staying in the Art ‘Otel for my birthday. £26 for 15 mins in back of cab and a journey of around 6 miles. The meter went up 20p every 10 seconds whilst driving at 30mph and also 20p every 12 seconds when sat at red traffic lights.

Fuck black cab taxi drivers, they deserve to go out of business!
