Ukrainian ๐บ๐ฆ top guns train with NATO F-16 fighter jets in Denmark ๐ฉ๐ฐ
It is really a super fun jet to fly. I’m not saying that the MiG that I flew before is super boring but the F-16 is definitely more agile. It easily moves. The moment you think of something, it turns. I felt proud, not only for myself, but for the rest of the guys and that we are doing it now. I know how much work has been done to have this opportunity. It has been updated several times and as it is right here, it’s a very, very modern aircraft. It’s competitive with the best Western fighters. And I’m sure that the Ukrainian Air Force will benefit from that. The biggest boost here is the motivation to go back and keep fighting with new jets. We are in this together and we have a lot of sympathy with the Ukrainian people and we want to do whatever we can to help.
At an airbase in Denmark, the Danish Air Force has been training the next generation of Ukrainian fighter pilots to fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
A coalition of NATO Allies, including Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway, has agreed to donate their F-16s to the Ukrainian Air Force. As part of the deal, Danish instructors at Skrydstrup Air Base are training Ukrainian pilots, technicians and ground crew how to fly and maintain the F-16. The first jets will enter service later this year.
The Ukrainian pilots are full of praise for the F-16, noting its responsive controls and agile flight features.
The F-16 is an advanced multirole fighter, which will replace Ukraineโs aging fleet of MiG-29 Fulcrums and Su-27 Flankers. Speedy, highly manoeuvrable and capable of carrying a wide range of ordnance, the F-16 will significantly strengthen Ukraineโs ability to continue defending its airspace and territory against Russia’s war of aggression.

Slava Ukraini!
superb news superb success
Some guy suggested that the Ukrainian pilots would take a year to transition from SU to F16, based on his experience with vietnam pow returnees…totally different situation, no?
These guys are fighting for their lives, families, homeland, not just trying to requalify after a couple of years away.

I hope that there will be no logistical delays on the items that will be needed to keep these aircraft in the fight.

It must hit different knowing that the guys you are training will be using those skills soon after they leave.
Sound
Good footage but old footage :'(
V-70/72 upgrade kits at some point would be pretty awesome, too ๐. I wonder if the US would be amenable to providing kits in USAI contracts for any airframes that might be compatible after F-16 operations in Ukraine are in swing and the infrastructural, operational, personnel & organizational needs & doctrine have had some time to smooth out, so that they could identify how & where such kits could be employed most effectively, without degrading operational tempo too significantly during down time for the upgrades.
Wouldn't it be better to be training them in the USA where there are fewer airspace restrictions, with a lot of low level supersonic routes, more training ranges, more aircraft to fly against?
will Ghost of Kiev use F16 too? lol
Attack! Go get โem! Slava Ukraini ๐บ๐ฆ

The Royal Netherlands Air Force still has 24 F16s in stock and will eventually donate them to Ukraine.
Thank you ๐ฉ๐ฐ
F16: small but mighty, looks simple, runs better than a Ferrari. Smaller than a twin engined mig, but runs rings around it
