Bike pump at the end of the road – is this a thing in London??

  1. Yep I’ve seen a few dotted around , used them a couple of times when I used to cycle a lot

  2. Tried to use the one at Bonner Road Gate near Victoria Park the other day and it was broken… easier to go into a bike shop and ask if they would kindly pump up your tyre.

  3. It’s probably a part of some multi-million£- londoncyclingcity project. Can’t leave your bike outside without it being stolen thought, but here’s a pump.

  4. They tend to not last about 2 years(and cost around £750).

    It’s probably much cheaper to pay the local bike shops/pubs/tube.stn to lock one up outside.

  5. First time I’m seeing this and it’s pretty cool.

  6. They’ll all end up like the old red phone booths, vandalised.
