Ukraine Follows Crimea Strikes With ATACMS Attack On “Russian Military Training Camp” In Luhansk

The Ukrainian military reportedly targeted a Russian training range with the US-supplied long-range Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). Drone footage shared by military analysts on May 1 appeared to show dozens of Russian soldiers being targeted with ATACMS in Luhansk region.
The attack came a day after Ukraine attacked the Crimean Peninsula with 12 ATACMS of which Russia claimed to have downed six. On April 30, the Russian Defence Ministry said its forces had destroyed six ATACMS rockets “in the last 24 hours,” without saying where they were shot down.

  5. So the russians have let a reconnaissance drone (by the way: only one?) fly over their rear regions without any counter measures? So the enemy could make videos of their success? Then they deserved it. No commiseration for that event.

    This event is even more astonishing as the russians do use the exact same tactic against ukrainian troop concentrations. The commanders at various points in the russian army don't seem to share intelligence among each other. Or – more likely – they wallow in superiority thinking, ignoring the threats coming in.

  14. Us do not understand what an escalation means,,, once the war escalates there's no going back, there would be no time for negotiations, it will be just deaths and retaliations on both sides

  16. This only means the war will Continue longer as Russia has to take EXTRA Land to demilitarize it from NAZI (NATO) Aggression. If F-16s take off from Poland or Romania then they will also be a target. this could have never begun but USA had a Coue in 2014 in Ukraine. Installing a Pro western leader.   21. Ukraine should have had long range ATACMS over a year ago but we do bot have a president in the US right now. If we actually had a president that had a brain and strategy, many Ukrainians who have lost their lives might still be alive.
