  1. Don’t know why he felt the need to take an unnecessary dig at Swayze. Wasn’t even asked it was just a conversation about Patrick and he could’ve just said RIP.

Seems like it was just a clash of one guy wanting to stick the script and the other wanting to improv. Nothing wrong with either way.

Sounds like John is just using Patrick as a way to gas up his ego and say how great he is at improv while tearing down a man who isn’t even here to defend himself.

  2. I’d bet from Swayze’s perspective, it was Leguizamo who was difficult to work with.

  3. Leguizamo in a dress is like Robin Williams on coke

    There’s no keeping up

  4. Taking this opportunity to mention if you liked “To Wong Foo”, you are going to love “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” which this movie is mostly based off of. You also get to Hugo Weaving, know mainly as Agent Smith or Elrond, as a drag queen!

  5. Starting to think John is just talking shit to stay relevant. Kinda like how he tells interviewees he is an “action” star 🌟

  6. Yeah, I’m sure Lequizamo was super easy to deal with being coked to the fucking hilt 24/7.

  7. Even if its true, let it go. The man is dead let him rest in peace.

  8. These last few years all John Leguizamo has done to stay relevant is talk shit. Dude isn’t even half the actor that Patrick Swayze ever was

  9. The full quote is absolutely not that bad. ‘I love him, he’s neurotic and I’m neurotic too’ is hardly a huge insult, come on now.

  10. I absolutely love Leguizamo, but he’s turned into a Grumpy Old Man. Actually let’s do a remake with him and Danny Trejo

  11. Leguizamo said he was constantly improvising and refused to ever do a line as written. I imagine that would be frustrating for any actor that doesn’t do a lot of improv work.

It might be that the director liked his improv as he mentioned, but it is unclear if that was a directorial directive from the start.

  12. Glad Swayze took his time, his portrayal was nuanced and brilliant.

  13. I don’t really care for John Leguizamo. He seems very “me”-centric and co-opts any subject to somehow be about him. He was the worst Daily Show guest host and I always skipped when he hosted.

  14. Was that the time Snipes was just starting? He’s not easy to work with anymore

  15. It’s strange that I’ve heard John L.’s name all my life (I’m in my 40s) and yet the one thing I remember him for most is that short-lived, dollar store version of *In Living Color* he helmed in the mid-90s called ***House of Buggin’****.*

Wish they’d release that show on streaming or DVD already. With the exception of himself and Luis Guzman, no one else in it had much of a career; how expensive could it be to get them to release their rights via a streaming agreement?!

  16. It’s a shitty person who takes a negative dig at someone who’s passed on. Just be the bigger person and say nothing.

  17. Classic clickbait BS. He didn’t say that Swayze was difficult. He said that it was difficult to work with him at times. He also made it sound like he and the notoriously difficult Wesley Snipes got on just fine because, color. Leguiz also didn’t say that in general, Swayze “couldn’t keep up,” he said that when he would go off on some improvisational tangent, Swayze would, unsurprisingly, question the direction. Hard to be the straight man with those two knuckleheads as foil.

  18. I thought it was a great movie and was impressed with each performance.

  19. Whatever, i live this movie to bits. There are far to few movies about drag queens out there.

  20. So he just goes off script and is surprised when his fellow actors get frustrated?

  21. Kwayze for Swayze but yeah, some of his co-stars report that he was intense on set.

    Whatever. He’s a f’n legend.

  22. Why on earth would you poop on a co-Star from a movie you made like 30 years ago? Is he looking for some publicity for a project he’s doing? Hoping a little dirt and controversy gets him some name recognition?

  23. Hey let’s shit on a dude that’s been dead for years now. That’s OK, right?
