I'm sure a few of you have the stats, but this must be the 10th ISH in the last 12 months?

Sounds like they really should update the layout of the bus stop area

  1. The family of the Irishwoman killed in recent memory must be very distressed hearing about this accident. If everyone knows it’s a notorious accident black spot, wouldn’t you expect the bus people to rearrange their exit route?

  2. I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often tbf, that whole area is soooo out of date, safety wise…

  3. The bus terminal at Victoria is fucking horrendous. There are blind spots everywhere, not enough pedestrian crossings. It’s just ridiculous.

  4. Didn’t TFL just now state that they don’t be changing their bus stops to prevent collisions?

    Oh dear.

  5. Reminds me of the song ‘Has it come to this’ by The Streets, it feels like London is becoming more of a dystopian hellscape with every year that passes by.

  6. Tbh I drive a route through here and it’s extremely horrifying how many near misses there are every time on it, most of it is from people on phones or tourists crossing without looking but these are all reasons I go so slow through it should be 5mph imo

  7. It’s a strange area to navigate as a pedestrian. The GPS doesn’t work well there so you’re often looking at Google Maps wondering which direction you’re going in.
