  1. If this was set up like a UFC pay per view, I would buy it without hesitation to see Trump under cross examination.

  2. I’d definitely need a whole lot of popcorn for that courtroom drama!

  3. I wish the judge would demand a response.

Judge: please ask your client if he understands that he can testify. We’ll wait for an answer.

  4. Another lie from Trump. Just like when Trump [said he would testify at his impeachment hearing](https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/18/trump-says-he-will-strongly-consider-testifying-in-impeachment-probe.html), he never did. Just like before the 2016 election, he said he would release his taxes after the audit was completed, he never released them either (no audit takes 8 years, the guy is lying).

Trump supporters, he lies to you day in and day out. How can you believe all his lies?

  5. This is lose-lose the longer Trump continues down this path.

    * If he keeps claiming “gag order prevents me from talking” (especially if Merchan keeps in-court correcting him).. really keeps circularly telling the jury that Trump is lying or misrepresenting.

    * If Trump does take the stand.. he’ll be torn apart and shown to be a fool.

    So yeah. Trump,. please continue.

  6. If he takes the stand, prosecutors in all 50 jurisdictions better be ready with their notepads. Cos, as sure as the day is long, he’ll confess to multiple crimes in multiple jurisdictions.

  7. He is not taking the stand, never planned to, it will never happen. Monkeys will fly out of my butt before he he raises the right hand.

  8. The only thing funnier than watching this serially-lying idiot attempt to not perjure himself for 5 minutes would be watching his cultists come to terms with the fact that they were duped by someone who was slightly smarter than a lukewarm bowl of tapioca pudding.

  9. A more accurate headline should read, “Judge *reminds* Trump…” “Tells” makes it sound like Trump’s public complaint convinced the Judge to *now* let him testify, where he was prohibited beforehand.

  10. > – Hicks: After I got the email from the WSJ, I thought maybe through Rupert Mudoch we could buy some time. I forwarded it to Jared Kushner, he had a relationship
    > – Prosecutor: We offer this into evidence
    > – Justice Merchan: Admitted

The trial [transcripts](https://www.threads.net/@innercitypressinsta/post/C6g3pBwL4sN) just keep getting juicier.

  11. I’ll bet the thought of having Trump on the stand to run his mouth would have his attorney needing diapers just as bad as Trump.

  12. OH Please let this waste of air humanoid like object testify. Saturday Night Live needs it. Late night television comedians need it. Stand up comedy artists need it. The jury needs to hear it. We need to let him sink his own battleship. Please.

  13. That lawyer is going down for this ethics violation. It’s appalling.

  14. What kind of half assed lawyer stands there nodding in agreement when Trump says something so totally erroneous? Trump is too much of a coward to take the stand not because he isn’t allowed to but because he would perjure himself in the first minute.

  15. The judge took away a Trump lie he could have used for a while. Although he’s so senile he’ll probably just keep lying.

  16. You know, you would think simply being a whiney, moronic, farting, pathologically lying asshole would disqualify someone from being a nominee for POTUS. Trump does this kind of shit 100 times a week.

Maybe ask the next Republican interviewee why Trump would say such a bonehead thing and why he/she would support such fucking moron for president? Of course, right after they ask why they would support a racist, rapist, pussy-grabbing, Putin-Fellating, pandemic denying, treasonous insurrectionist?

Why isn’t anyone asking these questions? How can any Republican get in front of any camera without having to answer these questions?

  17. Trump testilying would be his lawyers worst nightmare. Also if he does take the stand the trial will have to be extended because once Trump starts talking he won’t shut up even though none of it will make any sense

  18. Tonight he’ll make another attack on the jurors, court staff, and the judge. When the judge levies another contempt fine and possible jail time, Trump will claim that today’s message was that he was free to speak

  19. I think Trump always knew he can do that despite the gag order, he just goes on TV and yells he can’t because his supporters believe it and get angry and he wants them to be angry

  20. The lie in this case may very well have been his attorney trying to keep him from testifying and using the gag order as an excuse, hence Trump mouthing “thank you”

Not testifying is the prudent move, but no one muzzles Trump

  21. >When Merchan finished addressing Trump, the former president mouthed the words, “thank you,”

    45D chess move or

  22. I love the implication that his attorney probably told him this just to get him to not do something stupid, like take the stand.

And now the attorney has to figure out another way to talk him out of it.

  23. Christmas in May you say? Please oh please let this happen. We are so ready.

  24. Y’know, I kinda hope someone like Cohen says something on the stand during the trial about how Trump wouldn’t testify. Just to kind of goad him into testifying…

  25. HA HA HA! I was hoping this would happen. What a wussy snowflake the orange carpetbagger is – “Thank you sir, may I have another?”

Side rumor, the carpetbagger said it to Ms. Daniels too.
