1. I mean, not good, obviously, don’t steal eggs. 

   But that does look like a kinda cool collection, I wonder what they’ll do with all the eggs now?

2. People shouldn’t have free reign to pillage the environment like this. Make an example out of him and give him an actual fine.  

    £183 in compensation to a charity for killing thousands of birds is ridiculous. Make it £18,300 and it’ll work better. We’re so weak in this country with crime 

   Edit: fuck sake, watching Clarksons Farm S3, the fine for killing and selling an invasive American crayfish on his land was £2500

3. What surprised me about the images in this article is how many eggs of the same species he has.

   5+ eggs of the same species on one day, more eggs of the same species on another day, what’s the goal here?

   I suppose I could understand (though not approve of) a collector who wanted one of each, but why does he want 20+ eggs of the same bird?

4. Reminds me of the two charming gentlemen in my area who got away with fishing dry, not one, not two, but three bodies of water and the local park and environmental agencies had to restock hundreds and hundreds of fish.

5. Personally, I think he should go to jail. Breaking the law thr first time maybe a fine but this is taking the piss and he should be in prison

6. Would be great if the addiction was protecting them rather than stealing them.

7. Utterly disgusting behaviour, make an example out of him for others who think damaging the environment severely wont have any consequences.

8. So basically, this guy has terrorised birds in a protected area for those birds repeatedly, and his fine is less than minimum wage for the time it has taken him to do this? No wonder he just keeps doing it.

9. Are there in patient mental hospitals for criminally insane in this country, because that’s what is needed here. He is out of control and causing immense harm. He needs to be kept away from the birds while he receives treatment.
